Advanced Traffic Management System

TransCore is developing and integrating its TransSuite® Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) to enable District traffic managers to more effectively manage congestion, roadway incidents, and special events. TransSuite will be integrated with the DDOT’s existing signal control and other systems, forming the Capital Traffic Operation Platform ATMS. The two-year project will enhance DDOT’s real-time exchange of information, roadway traffic condition monitoring, incident detection, and response capabilities. The initial phase consists of critical modules for event management, CCTV monitoring, dynamic message sign operations, and traveler’s information system.
