TransCore upgraded MassDOT’s E-ZPass back office solution to align new statewide all-electronic tolling operations with an enhanced overall customer service experience.
Our partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) began over 25 years ago, when TransCore first maintained MassDOT’s legacy mixed-mode toll system and developed a back office solution to process evolving E-ZPass customer service needs. As MassDOT recently transitioned to AET operations statewide, our Infinity and Integrity systems led the way at the Tobin Bridge, which was MassDOT’s first facility converted to AET.
In 2016, TransCore successfully completed MassDOT’s remaining statewide system conversion to AET by further enhancing the overall E-ZPass customer service experience. The Integrity back office solution offers full E-ZPass interoperability and manages 1.9 million local transponders, pay-by-plate images, and all out-of-state vehicles, accurately processing more than 160 million transactions each year to the proper customer account.
